Paradise Seeds dates itself to 1994 and its founder Luc Krol to the early 1980s, when he started growing for himself. By his account the company grew out of the early 1990s Amsterdam coffeeshop scene, when most imported hash and weed was poor and the first American crossbreeds were arriving.
He describes the work as selection rather than range: crossing the most potent plants with the finest sweet taste, and keeping a solid strain base rather than a long catalogue. That shows in the shop, which carries around forty strains where the seed banks in this index carry hundreds.
